During the warm summer months you can also reach the cool pine forest (800 m), ideal for relaxing walks. For cultural variety during your vacation, we recommend a visit to Camaiore (14 km), with its historic center and monuments, among which stands out the elegant Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta, dating back to the second half of the 13th century; or Pietrasanta (16 km), famous artists' town, with annual exhibitions of internationally renowned artists. Some distances: Lucca (30 km), which hosts the Europe-wide known event 'Lucca Comics & Games' and the 'Lucca Summer Festival'; Massa (25 km) with the medieval castle of Malaspina and the impressive Piazza Aranci; Pisa (23 km) with Piazza dei Miracoli and the Leaning Tower.
