Welcome to this beautiful vacation home. The house is an old washhouse and bakehouse from the 19th century and can offer a lot of exciting history. The kitchen was typically used for baking, brewing and cooking before there was electricity. If you would like to know more about the history of the farm building and the origin of the farm, please feel free to ask the landlord.
The house has its own unique charm and the original building is well preserved. Solid wooden walls and high ceilings make the living room and kitchen feel especially spacious. There have been some modernizations, so the building is functional as a vacation home. A perfect place for those who are looking for something special and want to be close to nature. From the living room and outdoor area you have a magnificent view of the Hardangerfjord and the mighty mountains. In the mountains you will find good hiking opportunities, there are several hiking trails within walking distance of the house. There are opportunities for mushroom and berry picking as well as fishing in mountain lakes. In the Hardangerfjord, just outside the door, you will also find fishing and swimming opportunities. The area offers great nature experiences and we recommend going to Osa and further to Hardangervidda. Here you can experience the contrasts between the sea and the mountains, while enjoying fantastic views along the way. It is not far to the beautiful village of Ulvik with stores and restaurants. In winter you can do most winter activities in Voss.
