Spacious ground-floor apartment at the heart of the Valle d’Itria with its trulli

The holiday apartment is on the ground floor of a villa in the Valle d’Itria, the valley of trulli in Puglia.

Outdoors the apartment features a terrace with a table, chairs and a barbecue. There are also ample private parking spaces.

The refurbishment of the accommodation was completed at the end of May 2013, preserving the original charm of the house. The apartment has a large bedroom with a double bed and two single beds. A fifth person can be accommodated in the large living room, where there is also the dining area, a fireplace and a television. There is also a large bathroom with a washing machine and a washbasin, bidet, toilet and shower. In the kitchen there is a four-flame stove, a sink and a fridge-freezer.

The house is located on a small hill in a central location in Puglia in the Valle d’Itria. The south and the north of Puglia are both within easy access. The distances to the most important places are e.g. 3km to Cisternino, 7km to Martina Franca, known for its baroque buildings and culinary specialities, such as meatballs fried in local olive oil or grilled meat produced by the local butchers in the historic centre of the village. Other places worth seeing are Ostuni, the white town (12km), Ceglie with its rich gastronomy and the Montevicolo grottoes, as well as the safari zoo in Fasano 11km away. The sandy beaches on the Adriatic coast are 12km away. The spa resort of Torre Canne is very nearby. The beach of the Ionian Sea and the Castellana Grotte caves are 25km away. Lecce is 110km away, and Altamura with its preserved dinosaur footprints is just 60km away. Brindisi airport is 40km away, Bari airport 80km. It is advisable to travel with your own car or rental car.

The plot of land surrounding the house measures 2000m². There are mature olive trees, oaks, pines and fruit trees, as well as figs and almonds. Here you can enjoy beautiful, romantic evenings in the spring, summer and autumn. At night the outdoor area is automatically illuminated and particularly cosy.
