This wonderful holiday home is situated on natural grounds with various pine and beech trees. A wide, child-friendly sand beach with a pier ideal for swimming is located a few minutes away from here by car. This beach is situated amidst dunes that protect you from western winds. This location is in a huge recreational area, where Mariager Fjord flows into Kattegat. This region is ideal for relaxing hikes through forests or on the beaches situated along the coast. Passionate fishermen will enjoy the nice fishing waters in the sea or in the strait or you can also use the Put and Take Lakes located in this region. You can enjoy water skiing and rent skis from the water ski club in summer. Take a nice cruise around the strait on the old paddle steamer called Svanen, which runs from Hansund to Odde. This region offers numerous beautiful holiday destinations and wide offers on activities. For instance, Baltic Hurup is a charming holiday village located 10 km away, where you can find fishing harbours, restaurants, tennis courts, a tropical swimming pool, mini golf, horse, cycles and surfing equipment rentals and so on. You can also find large number of goods in Hadsund (15 km) and in Hobro (39 km). We recommend you to visit Verdenskortet, a holiday destination near Hobro, where you can enjoy hiking along the banks of Lake Klejtrup. On the shore of this lake, you can find a structure similar to world map with lakes, rivers and mountain ranges, on which you can enjoy hiking from continent to continent. A yacht museum and the Viking centre called Fyrkat are located near Hobro. Mariager is one of the loveliest villages of Denmark, where you can find impressive Tudor-style houses in cobbles streets. You can enjoy a healing swim in the salt centre located here (swim suits are required). You can also take a trip on the old rail road through barren and scenic stretch of Mariager Fjord. Aalborg is the largest commercial city in northern Jutland and offers a number of attractions and tourist sites such as Tivoliland, Nordjylland Art Museum, Aalborg Marine Museum and much more. Take a trip through the unique nature in Rebild Bakker, where you can also find Thingbaek Limestone Museum and the circus museum in Rold.
